How we work
Our team runs both the client-facing engineering work and Euclid's own products, Cascaid and LocalForge, under one discipline. The same standard applies to a client's system as to Euclid's: diagnose from first principles, build the simplest correct construction, and prove the result.
We stay small by design, not by circumstance. Every engagement is handled by people who understand the whole system end to end, not handed between account managers and whoever is free that sprint. When a project needs more capacity than we currently have, that gets scoped honestly upfront, not discovered halfway through.
Why “Euclid”
Axioms in, systems out.
Euclid's Elements built an entire system of geometry from a handful of self-evident axioms, each proposition following provably from the last. That is the model for how Euclid approaches software: name what is actually true about a system, then construct forward from there, instead of layering fixes on top of assumptions nobody has checked.
Construction
We build systems step by step, from first principles.
Every engagement starts with the system as it actually runs, not the diagram someone drew for a pitch deck. We add one traceable piece at a time.
Proof
Outcomes are measurable, traceable, defensible.
If we can't show you why a fix works, it isn't finished. That standard applies to both client systems and Euclid's own products.
Elegance
The simplest correct solution is the best one.
We would rather ship a smaller system that is fully understood than a larger one that only works by accident.
